Patti LaBelle's sweet potato PIE comes from a recipe belonging to her best friend Norma. Perhaps that's what helped inspire her hit with Dionne, "That's What Friends Are For."

Trust it or non, this Southern girl commode't recall always having eaten lovable potato pie. It truly is a travesty! So, lucky Maine, I got to taste what seems to be the scoop recipe e'er—Patti LaBelle's sweet potato pie. From the perfect crust to the seamless and gently musical fill, I think back I base my new favorite indulgence.

Ingredients

For the Encrustation

  • 1-1/2 cups general flour

I love sweet potatoes. I signify, I LOVE them! All Thanksgiving Day passim my childhood I was acknowledged the task of making the sweet potatoes.
